Welcome to Pathway to Hope! By accessing and using our websites (pathwaytohope.ca and learn.pathwaytohope.ca), you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
Acceptance of Terms
By visiting, enrolling in courses, donating, or engaging with content on our platforms, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old or have obtained consent from a parent/guardian. If you disagree with any of the terms, please refrain from using our services.
Definitions

Pathway to Hope – KWC Pathway to Hope, a nonprofit organization registered in Ontario, Canada.

User – Any individual who accesses or interacts with the websites.

Services – Online educational courses, mentorship programs, workshops, and related resources offered through Pathway to Hope.

Donor – Any individual or organization that makes a financial or in-kind contribution to Pathway to Hope.

Sponsor/Partner – An individual, company, or organization providing financial or operational support in collaboration with Pathway to Hope.
User Conduct
Users agree to:

Respect the privacy and rights of others.

Refrain from posting or transmitting harmful, defamatory, or offensive content.
Prohibited activities include:

Hacking, data mining, or attempting to breach website security.

Misuse of resources, impersonation, or misrepresenting affiliation with Pathway to Hope.

Copying or redistributing content without permission.
Registration and Accounts
To access certain services (e.g., course enrolment), users must create an account. By registering, you agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information.

Maintain the confidentiality of your account details.

Notify Pathway to Hope immediately if unauthorized access to your account occurs.
Pathway to Hope reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Course Enrolment and Participation

Eligibility – Courses are designed for youth aged 13-25 but are open to families, educators, and community members.

Completion and Certification – Upon successful completion of courses, participants may receive certificates of participation or completion. These certificates are for personal development and not professional accreditation.

Course Fees – Most courses are free; however, certain workshops or advanced modules may require payment. All fees, if applicable, are clearly communicated prior to registration.
Refund and Cancellation Policy

Refund Eligibility – Refunds are applicable only to paid workshops or premium courses. Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of purchase if the user has not accessed more than 20% of the course material.

Processing Time – Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days from the date of request.

Event Cancellations – If Pathway to Hope cancels a workshop or event, users will receive a full refund or credit toward a future event.

No-Shows – Users who fail to attend paid events without prior cancellation will not receive a refund.
Donations and Fundraising

Donation Use – Donations are used to support Pathway to Hope’s mission, including course development, youth mentorship, workshops, outreach initiatives, and operational costs.

Tax Receipts – Pathway to Hope issues tax receipts for all eligible donations above $20 CAD. Donors must provide accurate contact information to receive receipts.

Refund Policy for Donations – Donations are generally non-refundable. However, if a donation is made in error, refund requests must be submitted within 30 days by contacting admin@pathwaytohope.ca.

Transparency – Pathway to Hope is committed to financial transparency. Annual financial reports and impact summaries are published on our website in accordance with nonprofit regulations.

Recurring Donations – Donors can set up recurring donations through the platform. Cancellations must be processed through the user account or by contacting our office.
Sponsorship and Partnership Agreements

Sponsorship Opportunities – Pathway to Hope offers sponsorship packages for events, workshops, and programs. Sponsors receive recognition through our marketing materials, social media, and during events.

Partnerships – We collaborate with businesses, educational institutions, and community organizations to expand our outreach and enhance program delivery.

Terms of Agreement – Sponsorship and partnership agreements are subject to formal contracts outlining:

Duration and scope of the partnership.
Text Messaging

Consent and Purpose – By providing your phone number to Pathway to Hope, you consent to receive text messages for:

Event Confirmation (for signups and scheduling details)

No Unwanted Solicitation – We do not use your phone number to send unsolicited marketing or promotional texts.

No Sale of Phone Numbers – We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties.

Opt-Out – You can opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying with "STOP" or following the instructions in the message or contacting our support team.
Right to Decline – Pathway to Hope reserves the right to decline partnerships or sponsorships that conflict with our mission, values, or ethics.
Termination – Sponsorship agreements may be terminated by mutual agreement or if either party breaches the terms. Termination must be provided in writing with 30 days’ notice.
Intellectual Property
All content, including logos, text, videos, and course materials, is the intellectual property of Pathway to Hope or its partners and protected by copyright laws. Users may not reproduce, distribute, or modify materials without explicit written permission.
Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us. By using our services, you consent to Pathway to Hope’s collection and use of personal data as outlined in our Privacy Policy. Key highlights include:
